Men like to stare at other women. Are they trying to compare their wive (S) with other women?? If someone does it to me I would feel insulted.

Women are like flowers ... Men are kind and respect the beauty and so they look . There is nothing wrong with admired beautiful things that god has created . Less the smell of course as it's totally out of the topic

I think most men stare at other women either because 1) The lady is pretty/sexy 2) Or the lady is hideously ugly!

Most men don't think as far as comparing them to their wives.
