Apple launches satellite connectivity for the iPhone
Apple has launched a new feature called "Emergency SOS Via Satellite".
Modern smartphones currently need to connect to cell phone towers, but there are still remote areas that do not have any phone connections.
This means the iPhone will need to link up to communication satellites, hundreds of miles above the earth and flying and thousands of miles per hour.
The bandwidth is so limited even sending a text message will be limited to small amounts of data.
Apple has added custom silicon and wireless technology to connect to satellites. It also comes with a custom app so users can point their phones towards a satellite.
They have created a specialised messaging algorithm to send compressed texts in around 15 seconds, via satellites.
The "Find My" app can also be used to relay your location to loved ones even when you don't have a mobile signal. The service will initially be free for two years and launch in November.

Apple today announced that all iPhone 14 models sold in the U.S. do not have a built-in SIM card tray and will rely entirely on eSIM technology.

Dân Mỹ đi du lịch nước ngoài thường xuyên thì "sorry, no help"
eSim thì chỉ cần flash vào thôi . Đâu có cần bỏ card vào tray nữa .
Nhưng đa số là mít thích xài iPhone và đi "du lịch" Việt nam mà thôi . Bên đó có xài eSim đuợc mà .

Not many countries use esim for travellers , chỉ xài cho monthly subscribe thôi
