Planning out your retirement is not just simple math. In addition to knowing how much you have in 401K & savings, you might also need to know:

- At what age you plan to retire?
- How much is your monthly SSN once you retire and will you be able to draw on it right away?
- How much is your estimated living expenses including taxes and insurance (don't forget to factor in inflation rates)?
- How frequently do you want to travel and about how much you want to spend per trip?
- What are some major purchases/spendings in the future (ie buy a $50K car every 5 years, pay for kids' college tuition/wedding)?
- Don't forget to calculate your estimated income taxes depending on whether your 401K contribution was pre-tax or not.

We already did this with Fidelity retirement planner...
dùng 401k until you reach 65 for social security and health care .. trước 65 thì phải save money now to buy health insurance ~ 5-7k/yr
We have been maxed out our 401k for the last 15 yrs .. 2017 and last quarter of 2019 were a good return period... 401k made more than our income..:

Ideally for me,khi retire income take home equal or 20-25% less than the last year you made before retiring là ok . For example: you made $100k , khi retire monthly income 75k should be ok
