Nhieu nguoi so ve gia o nursing home tai sao vay?

1) Nursing homes are very expensive and most people cannot afford the decent ones.

2) The ones that people can afford are normally understaff & underpaid so their services/foods are not good.  So if you are still somewhat capable, then it's better to stay at home.  If your love ones are incapable and there's noone that can care for them, then at least the family should take turn to visit them in the nursing home frequently to ensure the aides are providing care for them and not just let them lay in bed or sit on the chair all day long!

My elderly aunt broke her hips and had hips replacement and did rehab in the nursing home so I saw how things are.

Gà , em nghe nói là nursing home họ check tài sản / nhà cửa mình trước ...níu có tài sản , làm chủ nhà thì họ charge against it ( put it on a lien ) , khi nguòi đó qua đòi thì nursing home rút fai? không ?

ví dụ , 2 vc own a home , mà 1 nguòi vào nursing home thì họ vẫn để nguòi kia ở và put the house on a lien ,until nguòi spouse đó qua đời và khi bán thì nursing will get what the other spouse( in the nursing home owned . Unless thuoc diện nghèo hong tài sản , nhà cửa thì nhà nuóc mơi/ nhảy vô trả fai? khong ?

why not chết tại nhà chị ?

niu' có nguòi thân lo lắng và responsible , I think hospice will send nurses home give instructions cho họ so the patient will die in the comfort in their own homes .

nhà để lại cho con mình ..vô nhà thương chết có gì có nurse lo ..mấy ngày cuối đời chị muốn chết trong bệnh viện để khỏi làm bận rộn gia đình, có gì thì bệnh viện lo ..

goal:

sống tại gia đến khi còn mấy ngày chết 
chở vô bệnh viện 1-2 ngày thì đi die liền đừng nằm vật lộn với bênh tật

mà không có biết được vậy không

Có nhiều người 0 thích mua nhà khi biết có ai chết trong nhà tuy là natural causes. Và nếu mình chết trong nhà nhiều khi người thân trong nhà cũng bị ám ảnh khi vào căn phòng đó.

Trước đậy Gà có nghe bà staff kể là ông chồng bịnh nhiều và bả 0 take care nổi cho nên định đưa vào nursing home. Nhưng trước đó bả phải chia đôi tài sản để turn over his 1/2 of the assets to the government so then they can take care of him. Rút cuộc ổng chết trước khi bả phải chia đôi tài sản.

Gà 0 sure là họ có bắt phải bán nhà rồi chia đôi hay chính phủ cho ở tiếp rồi sau này bán mới lấy tiền nửa.

My aunt's rehab was covered by medicaid.  I had applied for temporary medicaid for her since she did not have money to pay for it.

My Dad is living in independent senior home and not assisted living or nursing home. He pays rent there and they have the option to buy food through the facility (but they don't since it's american food). I don't really know how much it costs in the nursing home nowaday but googled and saw the average costs as below:

niú còn function ok , thì Assisted living hay Independent senior home là better choice ha , nursing home tièn chi phí cao thiẹt . Noi go through may options này cũng nhuic đau^` .

No, that's for per month.  I volunteered at a nursing home 20+ years ago and I remembered someone told me it costed $5K/month for a private room back then already.  It was not even the upscale nursing home either.

Gà nghỉ cái đó giống như là Adult Daycare dành cho những người đang ở chung với family members nhưng họ đi làm ban ngày cho nên drop off người thân lớn tuổi tới đó để có người keep an eye on them rồi chiều tối mình rước về lo tiếp.

Người thân cũng phải khoẻ mạnh đi đứng được nhưng có thể họ bị dementia/lẩn rồi nên phải cần có người trông nom.

I like asisted living better than nursing home care. If one is capable of living on their Own

chỗ này ở Costco hay Trader Joe's đem đồ tới cho hoài ..

chỗ này tự mình nấu ăn như aparment cho seniors ..họ tu nấu ăn, tự lo ..có người đi thăm hỏi nhưng bệnh hoạn thì mình tự lo, có chỗ cho mấy cụ chơi games, actiivity nhưng khi bệnh hoan thì mình tự lo ..chỗ nay cho mấy cụ còn lo được
