1-year-old dies after being left in a hot car outside of a hospital for nine hours, police say
A 1-year-old child died after being left in a car parked outside of a hospital for nine hours in Washington state last week, police said.
The child’s foster mother arrived at the hospital for work around 8 a.m. Wednesday and forgot the child inside the car, not realizing it until she returned just after 5 p.m., according to Puyallup Police Department public information officer Don Bourbon.
The child was rushed inside the hospital, but couldn’t be revived, Bourbon said.
The temperature that day in Puyallup, which sits southeast of Tacoma, was between 70 and 75 degrees, but the internal temperature of the car when the child was found was around 110 degrees, police said.
The foster mother and family are cooperating with the investigation and no charges have been filed, police said.
The incident marks the fourth pediatric vehicular heatstroke death this year, according to noheatstroke.org, which said an average of 38 children under the age of 15 die in hot cars in the US every year, most during the summer months.
In 2018 and 2019, a record 53 children died each year from being left in a hot car, according to the National Safety Council.

Wonder why the daycare/babysitter did not call her to ask why she's not dropping off the child?
It's hard to to believe that the internal temperature in the car would be 110 degrees eventhough outside it was only 70-75 degrees. It's sad to see these senseless deaths every year and it's only the beginning of the summer!

why not ? it 's really hot, gặp ngay trời hot sunshine day , ngoài trời không nóng chớ trong xe nóng kinh khủng

Thiệt tình! Không hiểu nổi luôn.....Nhận con người ta về nuôi mà không có trách nhiệm về sức khỏe, an toàn của đứa bé như vậy thì nhận nuôi nó để làm gì! 
Mình không hiểu nổi làm sao bà mẹ đó có thể quên đứa bé vẫn còn trong xe tới cả ngày như vậy được nữa, người gì mà dể quên rứa! Nếu tui là cấp trên của bà mẹ vô tâm đó là tui đuổi việc bà đó luôn rồi. Tội nghiệp đứa bé!!!!

Đâu phải họ cố tình làm vậy đâu. Cha mẹ ruột cũng bỏ quên con trong xe mà!
Imagine nếu bình thường ông Bố là người hay drop off con và hôm đó ổng bận nên bà này supposed to drop off đứa nhỏ. Nhưng khi lái xe đi thì bị phân tâm cho nên bả lái xe thẳng tới sở luôn và quên mất là chưa drop off đứa nhỏ. Gà cũng vài lần đi làm buổi sáng mà got confused went the wrong way vì cứ nhớ lầm mình đang đi chợ!

Bỡi vậy nên Lan mới rất ngạc nhiên và tức giận với những ông bố bà mẹ không có trách nhiệm đó đó sis Gà. Lan cũng có tánh hay quên lắm, nhưng quên gi thì quên chứ con cái thì Lan không thể quên được. Bố Mẹ nào cũng nghỉ mình là người có trách nhiệm và 0 bao giờ có thể quên con hết...untill it happens to them! Have you ever mistakenly put your phone/remote controls/keys or some other objects inside the fridge (or some place else unintentionally) and ended up looking for it all over? People can get distracted so we should count our blessings that tragics did not happen to us and sympathize for other parents that it happened to them. They lost a child and also having to face jail time and very likely their marriage may shatter if the other spouse also blames them.

the child is a foster child, ko phải con nuôi chính thức đâu .
I'm not implying anything here nhưng có trường hợp làm foster parent như a second job. Regardless cô này có làm foster parent for the love or for $$$, hy vọng họ cho vô records banning her forever, can't be a forever parent.

Chắc tại mỗi người có một tánh ý khác nhau nên mình có trách người ta sao lại không giống mình cũng không đúng đâu! Chỉ là khi đọc xong tin tức đó thì Lan thấy bức xúc khi thấy đứa bé vô tội đó ra đi vì sự cẩu thả vô ý thức của người mẹ nuôi đó thôi. Chứ khi đã chịu nhận thiên chức làm cha, mẹ của người ta rồi thì ai cũng có trách nhiệm đối với con cái hết; dù đó chỉ là con nuôi!

Gà cũng noticed bà này là foster mother nhưng dù sao cũng là 1 mạng người 0 ai dám cố tình bỏ đứa nhỏ trong xe đâu! Người ta gửi mình con chó giử dùm mình cũng phải cẩn thận huống hồ đây là 1 đứa bé. Very hard to believe that people would be so heartless as to intentionally leave the kid in the car khowing that they might die from heat exhaustion and they will get in troubles.

Gà: Gạo nghĩ ko phải cố tình nhưng quên kiê?u mất đi 1 mạng người thì cũng cần lảnh hình phạt và ban ko cho làm foster parent or even taking care of elderly, quên kiểu dễ gây ra tánh mạng quá .
ko biết cô này làm công việc gì mà trong 9 hours hình như ko suy nghĩ tới đứa bé đó .
Nếu là con của mình, Ga.o nghĩ khi đầu óc mình thảnh thơi 1 tí là mình nghĩ ngay tới "ko biết giờ này nhóc mình làm gì ở daycare?"

là con của mình hay là foster child gì đi nữa thì họ cũng biết là chết đứa con của mình hay foster child cũng đều bị đi tù hết chị Gạo nên họ không có cố ý đâu, vá foster parent cũng không phải là well pays job đâu chị Gạo

thì hội bảo vệ lấy trẻ con ra khỏi các gia đình như là đánh con, abuse trẻ con dưới mọi hinh thức và họ cần foster parents nuôi các em nhỏ đó đó

Foster parents khác với adoptive parents. Foster parents chỉ tạm thời nuôi mấy đứa nhỏ dùm trong thời gian chánh phủ try to place them with adoptive parents. Bởi vậy chính phủ trả cho họ 1 số tiền để lo chi phí cho mấy đứa nhỏ.
Có nhiều đứa nhỏ bị chuyển đi hết foster parents này tới foster parents khác và never got adopted. Và ngược lại cũng có 1 số foster parents eventually decided to adopt the kid....đây cũng là good way for them to see if the kid and them are good fit b4 actually adopting them!
Cũng có 1 số người làm foster parents vì muốn được money from county!
