Warren Buffett's wife balked at paying $4 for a cup of coffee. That won't surprise the investor's close followers.

Warren Buffett detests high inflation, and it appears the billionaire's wife does too. Astrid Menks balked at paying $4 for a cup of coffee at Sun Valley this week, noting she "could get a pound of coffee" for that price in other places, the New York Post reported on Thursday.
Her reaction won't surprise close followers of Buffett, or shareholders of his Berkshire Hathaway conglomerate. The 92-year-old investor ranks among the world's richest people thanks to his $114 billion of Berkshire stock, but he lives a famously frugal lifestyle, and has made prudent spending a cornerstone of his investing and dealmaking style.
Indeed, Buffett still lives in the same house in Omaha, Nebraska that he purchased for $31,500 in 1958. He stops by McDonald's to grab breakfast on his way to work each morning. He's also earned a modest annual salary of $100,000 for more than 40 years.

Riêng LDN thì thấy họ hay, 0 vì quá giàu mà vung tiền ra cửa sổ. Từ lâu luôn đọc về ~ người như thế này để học ở họ

bà này là bà vợ thứ 2 của ông Buffett ...có thời gian he có 2 bà luôn ...bà đầu bay qua SF theo nghề ca hát giao ông này cho bà này take care of him ( lúc đó she làm waitress )- 1 ông 2 bà sống đề huề cho tới khi bà đầu chết ....
phải khen là ông Buffett này may mắn sống thọ và sống khoẻ , vẫn còn minh mẫn ....

Sống tiết kiệm lúc nào cũng tốt hơn là sống khoe khoang và phung phí. Tui cũng thích cách sống giản dị của ông Buffett.

Where does she buy the coffee that's only $4/pound? I think coffee grounds at the grocery store would still costs more than $4/pound.

Where does she buy the coffee that's only $4/pound? I think coffee grounds at the grocery store would still costs more than $4/pound.
Chắc mua ở mấy tiệm second hand bán cho người nghèo. Em tui nói ở Orlando có 1 tiệm hay lắm, tiệm này lấy hàng gần hết hạn (hay đã hết hạn) của mấy tiệm lớn khác về bán nên giá cả dễ chịu lắm, rất rẻ. Một bich Dunkin ground coffee quá date 16 oz, $5, nó nói mua về uống vẫn ngon như thường.
